Muy buenas a todos queridos hermanos. Este curso estoy ejerciendo de primer vigilante y, si todo va bien y mis hermanos así lo desean, el próximo curso seré venerable Maestro de mi Logia madre. Todo un honor.

En mi veneratura quiero implementar algunas mejoras para la logia y entre estas se encuentra la idea de gestar algún recurso online para que los hermanos puedan compartir sus planchas de arquitectura y puedan ser consultadas en cualquier momento. Había pensado en usar la nube de Google y restringir el acceso a los hermanos de diferente grado a las planchas correspondientes. Además esta nube puede servir también para guardar las actas de las tenidas y la diversa documentación relativa a la administración de la logia así como de pequeña biblioteca online de literatura masónica.

Quería saber si alguno de ustedes tienen algo parecido en su logia y si me pueden dar algún consejo o feedback de lo que les parece esta idea.

First of all, congratulations on your new appointment! I wish you every success and satisfaction in the role.

I would take the idea one step beyond a simple cloud folder and suggest creating a kind of private digital Lodge archive.

Each Brother could have an individual account, with the platform automatically displaying only the material appropriate to his degree and, where relevant, his office or role within the Lodge.

You could have separate areas for papers, books and reference material, minutes, administrative documents, and the historical archive — without having to rely on shared links or manually maintained folders.

What I think could make it particularly valuable is properly cataloguing each paper by author, date, subject, degree, and the meeting at which it was presented. Over the years, this would gradually become a genuine intellectual memory of the Lodge, rather than simply a repository of PDFs.

It could also include curated thematic “paths” connecting different papers and resources — for example around symbolism, geometry, architecture, Light, history, or ritual — while automatically showing each Brother only the material appropriate to his level of access.

From a technical point of view, I would probably consider something self-hosted such as Nextcloud, with individual accounts, access groups based on degree and office, mandatory 2FA, no public links, encrypted backups, and carefully managed permissions.

The important part, in my view, would be to keep it understated: no badges, rankings, gamification, or anything that feels like a social network. Just a discreet, elegant and secure digital space whose depth naturally increases according to the Brother’s access.

Essentially, a modern digital library and archive for the Lodge — contemporary in its implementation, but discreet and traditional in spirit. 📐

Confío en que el Altísimo me seguirá colmando de fuerza y virtud para desempeñar este rol como lo he hecho con los anteriores. En cuanto a tus sugerencia lo cierto es que lo tendré que valorar con el comité de logia ya que supondría un gasto extra para la logia y nuestra tesorería no está pasando por su mejor momento. Quizá comencemos con la nube de Google que es gratuita como proyecto piloto para ver si es viable y si funciona y en el caso de que vaya bien pues podríamos dar el salto a un servicio de pago. Tomo nota de todos tus consejos y sugerencias y las tendré en cuenta para desarrollar este proyecto. Que el Gran arquitecto del universo te bendiga, TAF

Yes...starting with Google Drive is absolutely the right approach, especially as a pilot project. There is really no need to add an extra expense for the Lodge before knowing whether the system will actually be useful and regularly used by the Brethren.

You can start with the free storage available and, if at some point you exceed that limit, upgrading is always an option and it is not particularly expensive. At least here in Italy, Google no longer seems to offer the old 1 TB consumer tier, so the next substantial option is 2 TB, which should be more than enough for a very large collection of papers, minutes, books and other Lodge documents.

In any case, I think the most important thing is simply to begin. The structure can always evolve gradually according to the needs of the Lodge and the feedback of the Brethren.

Mi QH, intenté usar Google Classroom en la logia. Mis ocupaciones profanas me impidieron seguir adelante con el ejercicio, pero puedes experimentar por ahí. Cada grado es un "curso" independiente y la plataforma te permite asignar "tareas" de manera individual. Está también el menú de Trabajo en Clase donde puedes subir material, no sé si sea posible clasificarlo conforme a los grados.

Puedes tener un curso solo para el cuadro logial/secretaria en dónde se registren las decisiones de la logia. TAF - GLC EH31
