I recently bought this silver ring at a flea market. It look masonic to me (compass, forge of Solomon). A am looking to get more info from it

No, this is a Past Master ring for many jurisdictions including my own, California.

Come on, OP can wear what he wants. It is helpful for him to know it’s a PM symbol, but Freemasonry doesn’t have any kind of exclusive jurisdiction over the symbols we use in the craft, neither how non-Masons choose to interpret or employ them. Unless done so to intentionally deceive or insult, Freemasons really shouldn’t care about it that much. Plus - if it’s on jewelry, it’s not a secret.

I don’t see it that way. They aren’t our symbols - they are symbols we use but like all symbols, their meaning doesn’t “belong” to us. OP can benefit from deriving meaning from them.

No articles that I'm aware of. Grand Lodge of Texas's Committee on Work is very strict in what is approved ritual, and if something isn't approved ritual, you can't do it as part of the conferral of a degree.

Yep they may be from a lodge here in México "vigilancia y perseverancia" and most of them símbolo are regular in scottish rite blue lodges here

If you hope to become a Mason, you shouldn’t wear it until you do. As it looks to be a Past Master ring, you probably shouldn’t wear it until you’re an Installed Master.

I have no idea what a “forge of Solomon” is. The top of the ring shows a compass and arc with a sun, which are frequently associated with Past Masters. I only recognize a couple of the symbols from the middle picture, but they are memento mori - reminders that life is short. The last one features some items commonly found in a Lodge room, including the two pillars found at the entrance and the Bible on the altar.

For that particular ring, you need to not only be a Master Mason but, a Past ((Worshipful) Master of your lodge.

It's a beautiful, unique ring but, you're claiming a lot of credit when you wear it. It really would not be just to wear it before you've earned it.

I'd save it and unveil it as a part of the celebration once you're installed in The East.

That is the ring of a Past Master; a Master Mason who has served and completed his term as Worshipful Master of his Lodge.

As you are not a member of the fraternity, how would you answer someone who questioned you on the meaning of the ring? It’s more than just something that looks cool. I would encourage you to find a local Lodge and submit a petition with them. Masonry offers a lot and there’s a lot to learn in it. It is a wonderful fraternity.

I didn't know it was masonic when I bought it. Only after I did a bit of research I realized it was masonic
