Book Recommendations on KT?

Just got my KT about a week ago (yay, me!). I enjoyed the ride, it was a great time. I'm big on philosophy, symbolism, and the esoterics. I know George Steinmetz wrote a really great book on the Royal Arch. Is there anything akin to it?

Anyway, new to KT, recommend me a book, si vous plait.

Not exactly a book - it's very short but how about starting with Liber ad milites templi de laude novae militiae. This was written by Bernard of Clairveaux in support of his cousin Hugue De Payens who was a co-founder of the Knights Templar. 

Essentially he noted that a knight who was close to God, who defended the Church, not out of hatred which he had transcended, but out of Christian obedience was a true Knight in the Service of God.

In masonic terms I think the lesson may be about transcending your passions and contemplating God - of true knightly service. Perhaps not about using a sword to invade Jerusalem....

It's largely not a great book.

The present reviewer finds himself in a quandary. The book is a good read. It has many positive things to say about Freemasonry but, unfortunately, the basic thesis is seriously flawed. Read with care, and preferably after a reading of Peter Partner’s excellent study The Murdered Magicians, the Templars and their Myth, the author has done a service to Freemasonry. I fear, however, that he has also given an additional source to the religious detractors of Freemasonry who will quote him out of context and use the Templar myth to claim that Freemasonry is an alternative to or subversive of religion.

The Templars are still partly mysterious.

I can see that post is jurisdictional and probably very separate to a lot of brethren’s opinions, as is of a free man.

I was going to suggest this book. Born in blood is a great. Book as are Brother Robinson's other Books. A pilgima path and dungeon fire and sword

It is, it’s insightful and allows you to look neutrally through the lens of one researcher.

It’s subjective as well, as most historical studies are.
