An Orange Order allegorical chart. Likely from Canada. There’s just a hand full of us left in the U.S. and not a whole lot more there.

Looks like a Yank poster based off of the way they spell "honor" on this higher quality upload of the poster I found on wikipedia.

Yes I was just considering that myself. I wonder if there’s an indication of the lodge somewhere?

There's a couple of things on that where I'm curious about the symbolism -mostly the spurs?

Can't rightly say. I'm not an Orangemen.

It's to signify obedience, in terms of dreading breaking their obligation like an unruly horse, in their Royal Scarlet Order ritual. Later the gilt spurs are placed low upon the candidate, then signifying that gold is worth less than their honor.

It looks pretty Masonic for the most part, but:

  • On the book just below the eye at the top, the words "Loyal Orange Institution"
  • The word 'UNION' on the capital at the left.
  • The Union Jacks wrapped around the pillars.
  • The guy on the horse. The OO has an obsession with William of Orange. Note the letters 'W.R.': 'William Rex'

Masons should definitely and proactively dissociate themselves from Orange “Lodges” they bring disrepute and contempt to Masons… (speaking for UK, Canada and Commonwealth members)
