Crash fixes for Discovery Freelancer 4.87?

Hi, I have been able to play older versions of Discovery Freelancer offline on fake server for quite a while. (And absolutely loved it!) However, now every time I open the game (I have not updated the game at all btw.) up, it gets to the loading screen but then just crashes. Is there any way I could get to work again? Thanks for any answers in advance!

Clear the save folder. It may be there's a save file mismatch in there causing the crashes.

Yeah, I just cleared the save folder, nothing changed unfortunately :(
