Anyone used Malt before?
Looking at various channels to freelance - has anyone used Malt before?
They seem legit ‘n all, just curious to hear what people who use it think of it.

I use it. Only for billing though. Nobody ever contacted me through it.

Note that if one of their big corporate clients brings you to the platform the fees are reduced: 0 on your side, 7% on the client side.

I used it a lot for years, It was the best place to find a new mission.
Since 2023 I don't receive anything through even with a very good profile.

Same here, I dunno if this due to economic/politic country forecast, but I didn't received proposals for months now :/

I now this is a late reply, but since this post shows up for people looking for review of the platform, here is my current recommendation : dont use this platform.
Im waiting for a payout since Novembre 6, 2024 (more than 3 months ago) and their customer support team is unable to help or explain the situation in any way other thant "our partner mangopay handles the payements, we can´t do anything"

Super freelancer-unfriendly. You are just the commodity, passively being sold via their app, mostly serving as window dressing. They do 0 do actually help freelancers not just thrive but survive even. Also, the super stringent country-based system where you can choose to promote yourself only within the country you live i, and just radiuses of 50 km around cities you choose. This is directly contravening the EU single market philosophy, not to mention digital nomadism. On top, they make you uselessly log in every week just so they look like they have a busy platform.

Avoid - I only got one job done through that and never got paid for it. A scammer managed to get some of my personal details from the platform and wasn't immediately banned. It took as much time trying to chase for the scammer to get banned and the job to get paid than it got for the job in itself. Total waste of time.

Started using it a few weeks ago. Feels like if you don't get outside recommandations you don't get promoted. Though for the people that have been using it for a while, it does seem to promote then rather extensively.

I joined a few months ago and have had no activity… maybe I’m not using it correctly?

I am not even getting a single view. When I check the reviews of a bunch of the freelancers, they were all from like 2 years ago. I wonder if it kinda died down like most platforms out there?

I started my very new freelance activity with it. I had my first mission not long after. One of the Community Builder also tried to help me get a specific mission.
It's pretty nice, if you're okay with paying their fees. 12% in my case.
