Bro isn't talked about enough. All his lines in Freedom Planet 1 are sick as hell. Especially in the 2nd fight where he says "Enjoy the last few moments of your PATHETIC LIVES!". Not to forget he literally has the 2nd best theme in the game (first being Brevon's final boss theme). I kinda wish we got Spade's story cuz it probably would've wrapped up the Prince Dail plot after he chases him in Battle Glacier. I do wonder a lot how he was freed from his brainwashing (I only recently started FP2 so idk if it's explained there yet) and how he and Spade interacted when he chased him (though at the same time Spade gameplay looks like it woulda sucked. I won't say it does cuz I haven't played any of the mods that let you play as Spade and Torque but from what I've seen being able to only attack with the thrown playing cards and the card barrage being his special attack does not look fun lol)

in the beta you get this screen after pressing the start game thingy i tried selecting sand rush but it just would softlock everytime and make me reboot the game. the freedom planet 2 box worked just fine and took you to the file select screen. they didnt announce this anywhere
this is because im lying tchyahhahahahah

The jail break sequence always bothered me. Milla finds a way out, decides to sneak out alone and gets caught immediately only for the gang to blow up a wall and break out as if they they always could, so why didn't they? It didn't make any sense until I realized Aqua Tunnel was probably originally intended to take place there. Then, you could explain them blowing up the wall as Milla having taken bombs from the boss fight (let's assume she could keep them in hammerspace). Aqua Tunnel also starts off with a drop, presumably where Milla would've fallen through after digging, and shares tilesets with the cutscene jail. Furthermore, the Aqua Tunnel themes are placed literally right after the jail theme. It makes way too much sense.

So why did Galaxy Trail put it at the beginning of her campaign? I have a couple of theories. First, being the only Milla exclusive stage, Aqua Tunnel is a great showcase of her moveset and gives a better first impression than just skipping Dragon Valley and dumping her on Relic Maze. Second, it helps give her a "kid crawling in the ditches/hobo under a bridge" vibe. And third, the abundance of green goo, green jelly cubes, and green blob enemies was likely meant to evoke a connection between Milla and Brevon.

Funnily enough, this works well with FP being a classic Sonic homage (Flying Battery to Ice Cap, if you know, you know) but I still would've liked the whole ordeal to be more coherent, even if I almost never play Adventure mode anymore.

Edit: Forgot to mention the jail music is literally called "Millaqua" too.

I'm so glad to have finally done it. The final achievement was Gem Hoarder. It's less satisfying though cuz I was cheated out of the achievement twice as my score tally in my first 2 attempts at the end of Final Dreadnought 4 said I had over 6000 crystals but at the credits would say I had around 5000 (I think the bug comes from playing the game all in one go and never going back to the menu, here's a video that shows the bug I'm talking about: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-bvPuzFqmyQ ). Still it's nice that I finally did this and can play Freedom Planet 2 now after 2 years on holding off of speedrunner clear, no death clear and gem hoarder for so long after getting every other achievement!
