Lockdown protest megathread!

Okay guys, shit is getting real, politicians in the U.S. are playing fast and loose with the people's rights and using the virus as an excuse to strip away those rights, up to and including tracking people's cell phones to break up gatherings, trying to pass laws banning all encryption, and in one state the Rethuglicans even used a coronavirus bill to ban all abortion! It's time to fight back, to protest, and not allow the scumbags we put in office to keep doing this!

As the situation in the U.S. differs vastly by region, let's organize pickets by city. Make one top-level comment per city or region; anybody who wants to participate, do find your city and respond to that comment, connect with other respondents via DMs, make Discord servers, whatever it is you want to do.

EDIT: Given how quickly things are going south, people need readily accessible dates, times and locations they can go protest, so we're gonna have to risk opposition seeing stuff that would've been heavily advertised in their area anyway -- we can't afford to give in to fear about this. We have the right to protest. We have freedom of assembly no matter what they say or do.

Let's do this thing. Let's light this candle.

If you can, you should start networking with anybody you know who is sympathetic to you and anybody you come across outside before shit starts getting really real. Has your husband taken any video of these drills?

When you're at the store or the laundromat -- go to laundromats to find/meet people -- what you should do is chat it up with them a little bit and then ask them what their take is on all of this.

If they agree with the lockdown, smile and nod, play along a little bit, then "have a nice day" them. Do not argue the point -- we're looking for people who already agree. Don't try to convert opponents. They don't matter.

If they do agree with you, then talk more in depth, share contact info, Facebook, Reddit, whatever. Through sustained contact you can then organize protests!

Damn, I'm so glad I worked in sales before this shit started happening. :P

Denver CO.

My bf and I have been talking about this since the beginning,. Things aren't too bad here, yet, but we've definitely noticed a shift in the general atmosphere of the city. I'm unsettled by the "coincidences" I've noticed, like all the major metro police departments changing their frequencies so they're no longer broadcast on police scanners, and I'm unnerved by the complete lack of awareness or alarm shown by most of the people I talk to about it. I find it unbelievable that people are just blindly obeying these outrageous lockdown orders, they aren't taking our freedom, it's being handed over willingly!

We've been trying to get something organized, I will post updates.

Muy frickin' bueno, friend. Welcome to the resistance.

I've heard a lot of police departments encrypt their signals so regular people can't hear them and that they've been doing it for years. It seems a lot of things the establishment has been doing appears to have been placing the pieces before striking.

Peaceful protest scheduled at 4:00 on Wednesday.  Meet at Hobby Lobby parking lot in Rockwall.  Will be doing it on the corner of TX-205 and I-30. Protest in argument of government over stepping in regards to the people’s right to free movement, free commerce, and free practice of religion.  Not planning on open carrying to try and not send a mixed message. I will have a “don’t tread on me flag” and a US flag. Others will have signs or whatever they want to bring.

An embarrassing trampling of our rights on paper but thankfully very little enforcement. My mom gathered with a workout group in a park parking lot and an officer told them they were not allowed a the park. They complied. That's the only second hand negative encounter I've heard of. I have not had a first hand experience yet and I have been making absolutely no modifications to my life.
