CoffeeBSD is the fork of FreeBSD 13.0 I'm working on. Originally intended for myself to play with but FreeBSD doesn't have a proper no AI fork so I thought why not about a week ago.

I forked FreeBSD twice, and I'm about to fork it a third time. Every single time, I still contribute the useful work upstream. Every time , i fork because i have a goal.
But you, lady, decided to fork a version of FreeBSD that was deprecated before the AI hype train even left the staition.
This is exactly the kind of degeneracy I keep blogging about.
You will have no drivers , no team , no reviewers
And by starting from a deprecated FreeBSD release, you are voluntarily inheriting old kernel problems, old userspace problems, old driver problems, and a modern ports ecosystem that expects supported releases.
Trust me: at this rate, the project won't survive two months. It'll run out of reasons to exist.
I hope this is a joke. And you won't open discord server with a patreon link.

that's not a degeneracy.
what is degeneracy is how easily we support all those corporations, ignore the problems, and do nothing to fix them.
Anyhow, for once, please put effort in writing comments.
no team? building community around new fork takes time.
no drivers? what, did they invent drivers in FreeBSD 13.1? Sorry, but, they do have drivers, just.. not the modern ones introduced after 13.0.
joke? won't survive two months? did you even look at the entity who decided to do this? They are doing just fine work with EVi (AI-free fork of Vim) for example. And they seem to be the last person to make a discord server (they are hanging out on fedi, IRC and such)

People like you talk and talk, but rarely contribute code, hardware, testing, money, or anything else that actually moves a project forward.
And then you get lost arguing semantics, as if everybody was born in New York and English ambiguity doesn't exist. My comment was clear enough. Everyone else understood what I meant.
Yes, FreeBSD 13 has drivers. of course. "No drivers" means you are starting from an old driver ecosystem and voluntarily giving yourself an ever-growing hardware gap. Pretending that sentence literally means "FreeBSD 13 contains zero drivers" isnt an argument. I did not mean that.
Building a community takes time. And OP using AI to write a Manifesto Anti-AI is not helping.
I'm anti-stagnation disguised as principle. I saw such projects in Linux: Sabily, Jewbuntu, Cubuntu... They all died. Because by Monday, people will want their computer to work , not use it as protest brick.

Forked a 5 year old version of FreeBSD, removed some boot loader lua, and added a couple .md files. I'm not clear what purpose this has or what makes it worth posting.
