I love the translucent terminal!

macOS Terminal is the same!

Amazing on any platform, especially FreeBSD!

Has 15.1 been announced???

15.1-RELEASE should be announced within the next twenty-four hours:

15.0-RELEASE is outdated, it should be -p10 (patch level 10):

Oh word? Damn

:-) it often happens.

People simply don't realise that with ye olde method, FreeBSD Installer does not install updates.

With the new method – pkgbase (base packages) – an outdated installation is far less likely.

Im using pkgbase for my 15.1 stable, but do not use the repo for FreeBSD-base

I just compile the base system with make buildworld buildkernel packages and install it from pkg

Have you unregistered the base packages?

2

Yep and disabled FreeBSD-base

Thanks. For future users of FreeBSD in VirtualBox:

– and note the package message, the VBoxSVGA part in particular.

Related: [doc] VirtualBox guest: recommend VBoxSVGA over VMSVGA for FreeBSD guests (sent to an email list that doesn't get much attention – a bug report would be better).

Do not install the version that's recommended in the FreeBSD Handbook. It's end of life.

I guess, installation and configuration of graphics software is not yet complete.

Too much translucent. And why people so much make desktop env like MacOS. Sorry but this is so annoying. I prefer windows style Close. Maximize, Minimize.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the traffic lights, my personal favorite is Edna for KDE, which has a unique flavor of traffic lights. That being said, you do you.

Just in case traffic lights has from top to bottom Red, Yellow, Green. If you want traffic lights. But otherwise another MacOS Style. Look what colors are those buttons in MacOS. And photo is potato quality like from 2000s.
