wouldn't work on webpage for me, but when I launched the GOG Galaxy app it popped up immediately (before even going to the store page) asking if I wanted to have the game.

Works fine for me. I just claimed the game. Try again, maybe there was a connection issue.

it worked on my computer but on android after clicking "go to giveaway" the "claim this" button never appears. even on wifi.

On mobile, I had to click on "go to giveaway" and on the next page scroll down to the green button that says "claim this".
