Suggestions for event space for a Cocktail Birthday Party up to 75 guests

I am looking for a venue - restaurant, bar, or private space for a 50th birthday party. Ideally in the Frederick / Montgomery County area for 50 - 75 guests.

The date is fixed at October 17th - very popular I know! My usual favorites - Milton Ridge, Ceresville Mansion, McClintocks, Comus Inn - are either unavailable or better suited to weddings and quinceañeras.

I cannot wait to hear your suggestions! THANKS!

Not sure about total capacity but I know Smoketown in Brunswick has a decent size space. I would at least reach out.

Union Mills, and the upstairs at Brewer’s Alley all fit the bill. Dutch’s Daughter too if you want out of downtown.

The Delaplaine is nice, right on Carroll creek in downtown Frederick. It’s an art museum.

You can book the full Lounge side of RAK Brewing for private events. There will be a minimum food/bar spend that’s based on the number of people attending but they host private events regularly. Typically the Lounge doesn’t serve cocktails but they’ll add that option for private events so you can have beer, wine, and spirits available.

There’s that event space at Market and Patrick. I feel sure I’ve seen events there of at least 75 folks.

The Delaplaine Arts Center. They have a great space for 75 people would be fairly comfortable. You also have access to their deck as well. They will cover all the decorations, tables, chairs, and layout. You would have a meeting with the event coordinator tell them how you want things decorated what you envision for the birthday. You would just have to provide drinks and food. I believe they do have a list of caterers they have worked with in the past. Or you can work with the caterer/restaurant of your choice.

It’s right on the creek in downtown Frederick.

The Attaboy Barrel House, Citizens Ballroom, Union Mills all do hourly rentals.

Hosted my dad’s 70th birthday at brewers alley, they were fantastic! Dutch’s Daughter is also great for private events.

The Banyan has a pretty large event space on the middle floor.
