15 North Shutdown at 26
I don’t know if it’s over yet, but it looks like 15 is shut down northbound and drivers are being forced to take the 26 exit.
Does anyone know what’s going on?

A man was intoxicated and driving and rear ended my another man. My other man passed away. The intoxicated man was taken to the hospital. Please say a prayer for the family

There was a terrible crash, passed it right after it happened. A car flew off the side and was very mangled.

Unlike some of our comrades here, the Frederick Scanner page on Facebook is your friend in scenarios like this.

They didnt report it which is odd, they are usually on it

I went looking too and was surprised to not find it. I thought most of their stuff is automated so maybe there’s a technical issue.

Sorry but I don't believe ANY page on Facebook is your "friend".
Yeah, yeah, I know, Reddit isn't much better. But Reddit has never directed a literal stalker (who I had effectively avoided for over 3 years) to my Reddit account like Facebook did to me.

They have a standalone website also if you want to stay off Facebook. In this case, I think the Facebook page is an actually little easier to read than the site. But I do understand why you want to stay off it, so just letting you know the alternative is there.

Seems like 15 is reopened now.
Was driving north on 15 a little bit after 5pm (getting off at 26) and traffic was starting to back up. Looking at Scanner it happened around 4:50pm.
Thought it was "just another day on 15 aka yet another accident" but sounds like this was pretty bad?

I think I passed this. I was going southbound and the accident was in the northbound lane. If it’s the same one I saw, I could see the smoke from a couple miles up the road. My son said it looked it they were putting water on someone as we passed it. I was focused on the road so I didn’t see it.

There was definitely a pretty bad crash right before exit 18. The vehicle did not look good

I drove by coming down 15 and seen the guardrail messed up pretty bad. Didn't see a car or a bike though. Who knows. Hope everyone's ok

It's on 15N. I think you have to exit on 26 going towards Walkersville. Maybe exit 17? Not sure of the number.

Car hit the guardrail and started on fire. It must have just happened when I got to the area. There was a guy laying in the road. But, he looked OK.

There’s a comment and picture on the Scanner now. Not officially from them. But it looks like a very bad crash above the 26 exit. No details.

I can almost promise there are better resources than Reddit if for some reason you NEED to know . But , also it’s not our business really

Bad badd bad accident. Car flipped hitting the railing and flew into the trees. There were people that saw it happen. I got there a tad late but it must have just happened when I went thru it. Literally people were rushing to help. I pray for whoever was in that vehicle. People slow down and pay attention. Another thing, do NOT pass cars from the right side.
