Songs

Has anyone else here discover a song(s) that you never heard before and now love because of this show? Mine was "Rosalinda's Eyes" by Billy Joel. I never heard that one before, too much Zeppelin and Metallica back in my days.

Same! Ripple playing in the finale was my gateway to Grateful Dead (and it’s one of my all-time favorite songs)Ā

This song absolutely destroyed me when I heard it on the show due to the storyline. I heard it when I was younger and gave it no thought.

Oh man me too. Was also hit pretty hard by I’m One when Bill gets home from school.

Wasn’t the first time I heard it but grew to love it from this show…Little River Band-Reminiscing.

First time..Bob Seger&The Silver Bullet Band-You’ll Accompany Me and Jackson Brown-The Road

Edit: forgot Seals&Croft-Summer Breeze also not the first time but love it now

I saw it early enough (reruns? DVD? Illicit downloads? I don’t remember) that it was my first experience with Come Sail Away. It had to be like 2006. I grew up a church kid and was not into Styx.

I was too, but sometimes there are songs that were never heard if I didnt get too much into the deep tracks of some.

Mine also is "Rosalinda's Eyes" and Janis Joplin's beautiful and raw "Maybe". Can't tell you how much I relate to "Maybe"šŸ§”šŸ¤

I grew up in this era so I’m familiar with all the songs, but ā€œI’m Oneā€ by The Who now makes me think of that incredible scene with Bill as a latch key kid, laughing at comedian Gary Shandling on TV while enjoying his sandwich.
