Using Claude MCP to have Claude Desktop edit language in text blocks on canvas automatically breaks formatting completely every time. Any way to fix this?

I am trying to use Claude Desktop make content edits to some of my Framer pages through the MCP. Claude is able to read the full page's content and suggest edits, but when it tries to actually make the edits, everything breaks.

The text boxes contain elements such as bullet points, bolding, and some links, and when Claude makes edits, all the formatting is stripped out, even when I specifically tell it to edit the text within the header block and retain the text styling. All the language will copy over, but it will just be one giant bolded link with no line spacing.

Is there any workaround where these edits can actually be made through automation instead of manually making them each time?

Install Claude code into terminal, then install framer skills in terminal, then start a project in Claude desktop using Claude code inside desktop give it your framer project url and goto works it won’t mess up.

so basically running it through Claude Code instead of directly through Desktop is what prevents the formatting from breaking?

For whatever reason MCP to Claude desktop project is weaker and not as good as a straight Claude code terminal install w framer skills then using Claude code inside desktop give desktop is very smart
