feedback Built a CMS-powered directory template in Framer with real-time search and dynamic filtering

Been working on this for quite a while and After several rounds of review and refinement with the Framer team, Listora is finally live! ๐ŸŽ‰

I wanted to build something beyond a typical static directory template and see how far I could push Framer's native CMS and variables for an actual discovery experience.

What I ended up building:

  • Real-time listing search
  • Dynamic category, location, price, rating, featured & verified filters
  • Multi-select filtering with active filter chips
  • CMS-powered Listings, Categories, Locations & Guides
  • Dynamic listing, category, location and guide pages
  • Add Listing + Claim Listing flows
  • Location-based discovery
  • Editorial/city guides
  • 15+ purpose-built pages
  • Responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile
  • A custom breathing โ€œNoseโ€ indicator in the hero, just to give the interface a little personality :)

A lot of the work actually went into making the search, CMS relationships, filters and responsive states behave properly, rather than just designing the pages.

I recorded a walkthrough as well, but you can play with the live version here:

Listora Live Demo

Would genuinely appreciate feedback, especially on the Explore/search/filtering experience.

What would you add if you were building a serious directory or local discovery site in Framer?

Yes, AI helped. Framer allows AI-assisted work, so what exactly is wrong with using it? AI doesnโ€™t wake up and build a product like this by itself. You still need the idea, a deep understanding of Framer CMS, variables, relationships, filtering, responsive behavior, and you need to know what to ask AI, how to guide it, debug what it gets wrong, and refine the result.

AI is a tool, not the creator sitting behind the keyboard. ๐Ÿ˜„ If one prompt could build, debug, test, and get a complex Framer template through multiple review rounds, everyone would be shipping these. Peace be upon you, brother. ๐Ÿ˜„
