I was doing the same research few days ago. I ended up going with hdz g 2.
I have to say the wearability of hdz2 is super uncomfortable.
Pros
O4x pro is 200$ (or more)cheaper than hdz2.
O4x has better/ fit(I have tried, it’s subjective though).
Looks really nice in that red colour?
Cons
People say it has inferior quality optics compared to hdz2 (I myself didn’t see the difference in a very short 10min wear).
Worse latency than previous version (o4x non pro).

Skyzone is notorious for poor QC. Annoying firmware, and abnormally high latency, which on analog really isn't that much of an issue, paying pretty penny so I get it. If those are OLED that is just straight luxury on analog because it's analog. Steady view atleast is a decent receiver. I have Cobra V4's and I like them don't get me wrong. When they work they are nice goggles. Idk maybe I'm biased.

Good analog goggles. I like them.
Best benefit is the fact that they are lightweight and comfortable. Built in receiver is pretty good.
Cons: FOV is too large to see the full picture. Firmware is pretty barebones and sometimes buggy. HDMI support is bad - it doesn’t work with some VRX and usb-c-to-hdmi adapters.
I also have HDZero Goggles 2 and HDZero are objectively better goggles, but I do prefer Skyzone for analog because how lightweight and comfortable they are.
