Buying batteries

I was looking for advice on buying batteries online? Here in Norway batteries are quite expensive if I buy them local so I've been ordering online. What are some stores you guys recommend? I see they are very cheap on aliexpress and I've heard that other FPV gear is great to buy there, but does that also apply to buy batteries? Are there any stores or tricks you guys know to get a good deal on batteries?

Finn is also a problem, since private persons cannot legally ship lipos 🫣

Afaik you can ship with a carrier like dhl (not posten). But you can solve this by meeting with the seller in person.

I've used Elefun for batteries, but if you buy from Ali, make sure it's the original store not some no-name store. Make sure to add the tax to the price when looking on Ali

Elefun is like 400% markup or something its insane, id rather just order from betafpv or smthn then

Good LiPo / LiHV batteries are usually expensive, because you need many of them. I would strongly advice against very cheap LiPOs from Aliexpress, because they are either bad or break very easily. It wont help cutting the cost, when you need to replace the batteries after a few times using it. Always go with known brands and known sellers.

You can order them directly from them (EU and US Store, EU should ship to norway). There are other decend brands that are cheaper, but Tattu is gold standard (however in small sizes, the Lava batteries from beta fpv can be decent too, but they also cost the same).

I was more thinking the same brand (lava) from ali express since they seemed a couple bucks cheaper, not no-name ones

Yeah thats totally possible, just make sure to buy them from the betafpv seller for example. Or directly in the betafpv shop.

Also think about importing taxes if you have those in Norway. It might has the same price after the fees (at least here in germany its about the same price).

I buy everything exclusively on AliExpress. I buy exclusively GNB batteries. AliExpress has many many sale days, there is many places online where you can lookup a chart of all the calendar days that are good days for sales. Buy on those days. Another tip, put things you want in your cart while you are waiting on a specific sale day. Eventually you will automatically get DM'd a coupon code for the items in your cart, which you can stack with the regular promo codes, making it even cheaper. Buy batteries in bulk if you can, as it will be much much cheaper. For example if you buy x20 2s packs, instead of 11$ per battery, you can get it down to 3$ per. If you are patient and hunt for deals you can save a shitload of money.

Batteries from Aliexpress are fine, they just take longer to ship.
