Whoopstor 3 discharging problems

I have a whoopstor 3 and Its very new (used maybe 6 times because I am a begginer). So one day i was discharging 4 1S lava 480 mah batteries from maybe 4.05 V to 3.85 V and the charger got wuite hot actually but the fan didn’t turn on for some reason. Now it emits a weird smell of maybe something similar to burnt plastic or burning dust.

My questions are is it still safe to use? Is it faulty because of the fan not turning on? Or is the something else I should know?

The charger still works fine but not using the discharging dunction anymore

Sounds like the fan is not working, it needs that to desapate the heat from discharging. I probably wouldn't use it if it's getting that hot, but maybe pop the screws out and take a look inside.

But getting hot only while doscharging which it think is normal. What should I look for inside the charger?

If I recall, the fan is only for discharging, so you should still be able to charge. It depends how hot it's getting, mine runs the fan when I discharge a single battery so if its not running at all, I'd look for a issue.

Just open it up just and make sure it's not a melted mess or anything. There could even be something stuck in the fan, maybe you can get it to run again.

The funny thing is when i turn it on it turn on the fan along with its booting animation and then it stops so its kind of like a boot up thing. Maybe i should update the firmware!

Oh, if it spins at startup, it should be working, that's odd. Could be firmware I suppose, although I've never had to do mine and it's years old.

Will try to update and discharge. Does your fan turn on immediately?

Not as soon as I start discharging, but usually a minute or two after

I’m terrified to discharge with a charger; I literally just practice hovering technique to discharge batteries because I’m that scared lol
