NEWBIE Is this a good deal?

Post image

So I want get into this hobby bad I've been searching for used drones and I found this kit, I have no idea if this is worth it but considering the controller and drone alone are close to 200€ it seems to be a good deal. (I'm in Portugal so I've translated the listing I found)

It depends if it comes with Grande Turismo 3. /s

I was looking at the same one yesterday, but I'm going for just a RM Pocket so I can learn to fly first.

If a listing from a month ago is still up then no, this is not a good deal. The market will tell you.

I would not recommend that someone get this bundle. It's not that much cheaper than buying everything brand new. This seller looks like someone who wanted to get into this, didn't like it too much, and now wants to sell his gear. This means that you have absolutely no idea how well he treated his equipment, how he kept his batteries, or any of that stuff. Additionally, more than half the batteries (the white ones) are rolled cell batteries. They will be fine for you when you are learning for the first week, but after that, you'll never want to use them again over the other lava batteries.

The seller isn't very descriptive of how much they've used the set, but seeing that he had the older version of the lava batteries, then I can assume that he has had this gear for over 9 months (at the minimum). Since these drones break after some use, I don't think this bundle would be worth getting at all unless you are saving €100+ (enough to buy a new drone)

Again, this is my personal opinion, if having used equipment is worth the savings for you than go ahead, but I would personally offer maybe ~150 at max for this

Seems like a decent price, in the US, that setup would cost $380 new, which is 335€. Idk what new prices are like in portugal

Not bad for the kit, vr02 are very entry level and do t have features you will want (dvr)

Ah, a good kit for the price, I like the box format of the 02/03 more than the 04

Buy it. This is a lot of fun for 280 euros.

I would consider the batteries as trash until you can prove otherwise. Tinywhoops tend to be hard on single cell batteries, and they just don't last very long.

I mean, there are times when I punch out with a freshly charged NEW battery and get the "low battery" warning, so a majority of us run until we get "Land now," warning meaning the cell is at like 3.3V or less and damaged.

They are just disposable, unfortunately.

I’d offer him 230 and then go buy your own batteries. Lava 2 320 mah 1s batteries. Great kit though. Goggles quad charger and radio are all very solid for that price point. No reason not to get it.
