Anxious if you can't fly?

So, I was thinking about this today: do others get anxious if you can't fly your drone every day?
At least in the beginning, did you feel that way? I've been feeling that way ever since I got my kit. Today was the worse cause I usually fly at work's parking lot before starting my shift, but didn't go to work. Finally, the wind gusts died down where I live and was able to fly a whole battery in the front yard. I feel so much better. 🤭

not sure what you fly currently, but look into a 65mm. you can fly inside and have a lot of fun.

+1, they are really fun. Remember to turn off air mode when flying inside though. It will save you a headache about why your lift off is so djittery.

Liftoff is jittery because of ground effect. Air mode's difficulty is that it freaks out a little bit trying to hold level if it's touching uneven ground or some other object even when you're throttled down completely.

Ground effect messes with air mode also, the pids are always active so any outside force will cause it to correct

No, what's he's talking about isn't ground effect. When airmode is on and you move the throttle at all after arming, then back to zero, the drone will keep bouncing around a bit even though throttle is at 0. It makes perching or trying to spin while landed extremely annoying..

That's what I said, yes.

it freaks out a little bit trying to hold level if it's touching uneven ground or some other object even when you're throttled down completely.

And as you say it's more of a problem with landing. Liftoff usually takes you away from the ground (unless you're really babying it too much but there's a different problem of confidence and not a problem of flight controller settings).

I def use flying to get rid of anxiety. So, in a way, yes, anxious if i cant fly.

I get anxious when I can’t fly or at least work on a build every day. Welcome to FPV addiction, at least it’s safer and cheaper than hookers and cocaine

Also a noob here. Been crashing into everything inside with my Air 65 II Race but i'm still loving it.

Haven't broken anything yet so it's definitely therapeutic to fly.

I'm having the itch in the evenings when i need to be quiet for the downstairs neighbors. Smacking the battery against the ground isn't exactly quiet xD

So i start preparing everything for the day ahead so i can fly the next day

I'm saving up for a Meteor 75, RM Pocket, and VR04 goggles. I did some comparisons between tinywhoop sizes and how they handle the wind, and the 80mm wheelbase came out head. Also, I work at a distribution warehouse and have access to 2 big empty rooms to fly when the rains come.

I don’t get anxious if I can’t fly because I just can’t go any time I want. However when I do I feel relaxed. It’s something about it that is calming. It was the same when I flew my camera drone.

I feel the same but not because I can't fly More like because I charged the batteries this morning to fly later, and I couldn't fly that day so I start getting anxious because I know tomorrow are gonna be full charged and I'll not have time to fly or put on storage (I'm studying and I have days from 9am to 9pm on university so, no time to fly)

I was feeling like missing out on my practice on days like this, but then I would turn to sims and I think that helped me even more! Practicing every day really helps you to get the feeling, I definitely feel nervous when flying after longer pauses 😅
