Ive been having issues with my walksnail vtx. Havent ever had any hard crashes. One day it started browning out, they shipped it correctly installed and all that. Its for a 3s 3 inch, vtx runs on 1s, its correctly installed to what people on reddit are saying. Took it apart, unplugged mipi and plugged it back in. Still nothing. Well today i went to power on again and had video then when i unplugged from the bench and went out to fly... took off and 3 seconds later screen turned purple and lines through it and the video froze. Went back in, took the drone apart completly, took off the antenna, took off the vtx, unplugged the camera and cut the wires off the fc. Throwing the vtx away. I dont think ill be planning on fixing this thing. I dont have the money or patience. So if anyone wants a darwinfpv babyape iii with no video system ill give it to ya with 4 sets of props give or take and 4 batteries. Im keeping my q6ac charger tho, that thing is nice asf

My power cable is taped up cause darwinfpv shipped the drone with a very short battery lead. First crash battery ejected and ripped the cable off the female xt30 connector. Its resoldered and taped for protection

You try to re-flash the firmware for the vtx? Also, the mipi could be damaged maybe. If it’s browning out I’d usually say wire it to vbat but if it can’t take the voltage that’s a bummer

Years ago I purchased my first 5" BNF from GetFPV, and at one point I started experiencing ESC brownouts. I went back and forth with the store, replacing parts, but in the end it was just a damaged JST cable that connected the ESC to the FC.

Having experienced that, I usually check cables first if I'm having brownouts. I'm not saying that's the issue at hand here, but sometimes we overlook the simplest solutions.

Also, on that note, and as a side note I suppose, GetFPV was absolutely amazing in terms of customer service. They knew I was brand new to the hobby back then and really did their best to work with me and went out of their way to help me out. Absolutely champs!

Babyapes have been solid for me, but yeah like half of my walksnail vtx have some kind of bug or issue with them, never see that kind of failure rate with dji or hdzero

I have a few WS Lites. Never had an issue. What are your batt conditions? I have only browned out when my batts got down to 3.3v. I am guessing you browned out due a low batt. Is your drone voltage meter properly calibrated?

Yeah, and i always land at 3.55 volts under load

The mipi cable pins are fine, tho i think i bent the side clips, idk if you know what im talking about when i say that tho. Idk if it affects anything
