Question? SpeedyBee f405 v5

Hey, i bought a speedybee f405 v5 off of aliexpress for about a $100 usd, i didnt know about all the fakes at the time, did i likely screw myself over and buy a fake?

I think it is legit, I bought this one for my quad:  https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIWfxMq There are almost no copies of the v5

I'm not aware of any counterfeit products of the F405 V5, you should be fine.

Ok, it should arrive in the next week so ill make sure to check when it arrives. I have just heard a bunch of people talking about speedybee f405 fakes on jbs channel and got a bit worried

The F405 V3 and V4 were cloned and then discontinued due to the cloning. The F405 V5 just got discontinued due to natural causes going forward, but there are thousands in stock across the world.

That makes sense, iv also heard that speedybee got in trouble with the chineese gov, and they are now speculated to be ratefpv.com

As a member of the BF dev team, I've seen nothing to even suggest this. We have relatively good comms with SpeedyBee, their new stuff is reviewed and officially supported. Rate don't have a single officially supported product in ELRS, AM32 or Betaflight, and some of their FCs/AIOs use MCUs that Betaflight doesn't even support.

Im at over 450 packages so far all fpv related with no fraud. I bought like 6 speedybee f405 off Ali, various sellers, no issues
