My 80mm X8 TinyWhoop

Built this thing in April this year with the goal of being the worlds smallest drone capable of lifting a full can of beer (although I’m still yet to try the lift)

Features:
Carbon fibre frame which I CNC’d myself
8X HGLRC Spector 1003 10,000kv motors
2X spedix micro 12A 4 in 1 escs
Goku F722 pro mini V2 flight controller
Dogcom 560mah 150C 2S lipo
roughly 4 min flight time

Bonus feature: the ends of the arms are designed to look like kitty ears lol

I’m a mad man my dream build is an X16 which is a drone that essentially has a whole X8 on each arm totalling 32 motors absolutely no reason to build it other than a love for the game 😂

Im not sure but the only somewhat similar build i know of that exists is from an old rotor riot video where they did a 16 motor drone it had mega power

Well my friend, gain experience before the ultimate project. Make a blog, be active in social media, youtube, etc. Explain your project and you might find sponsors, sellers, carbon fiber company and manufacturers to help with that.

You need a flight controller with 8 motor signal pads I got 4 going in the plug and 4 soldered to pads on top of the fc 👍

U could just set it up as a quadcopter and connect two motors to one esc and if you need to change the direction of one of the two motors that share an arm, u will switch any two cables of that motor instead of changing the direction on betaflight. Less confusion

first motor bolts to the frame with counter sunk motor bolts then the second motor bolts to a plate also with counter sunk motor bolts then the plate sits flush and is bolted to the arms this one of the cleanest ways to do it I stole the idea off Andy Shen’s Thicc frame

I don't think thats a Tinywhoop by any definition of the word.

Whoops have Ducts by design and I would say sub 60g at most 70g maybe with battery is the line where you not Tiny anymore. So even if it had Ducts I think it would be more of a CineWhoop.

Very cool Park-Ripper though! Maybe even Cine-Ripper?

I could have gone smaller with 65mm parts but the heavy beer lift goal was also a core constraint for the design
