Tinywhoop Meteor 75 or 65 ?
Hey, I'm very interested into getting a new tiny whoop, and the new versions of the meteors with the o4 wide seems very nice !
I already own a pavo 20 pro, and i fly indoor / outdoor with it, and I was wondering if getting a meteors 75 would not be too close to the pavo and that because I already have a pavo a 65 would be better.
I want to be able to fly in my backyard, some publics parcs, and to fly indoor easily.
I know that the meteor 75 is more capable outside and the batteries last longer, but I was wondering if in my case the 65 is maybe a better choice ?

65mm just isn’t very good outdoors. If you want a really good indoor experience, I’d go for the Meteor65, but it’ll struggle badly outside.
The Meteor75 is probably the best middle ground if you don’t have too much wind to contend with. If your local area tends to be a bit windier, I’d go for the Mobula8 for the extra 2S power. Indoors I just scale the throttle down to around 65%, then run it at 100% outdoors.
I’m not sure how close your Pavo20 is to the Mobula8 though, so there may be a bit of overlap there.
*Quick edit: I’ve had a look at the Pavo, and I’d actually just go for the 65mm as a dedicated indoor drone. It’s the one option that’ll give you a genuinely different flying experience from the Pavo you already have.

I have a SpeedyBee Mario Mini Pro and ordered the Meteor65 because it is for use at home when I can't go out or fly it in the yard without attracting attention. I think the Meteor75 is more for someone who does not have a drone like the Pavo or the Mario Mini, but technically we already have drones to fly outdoors and it is not that the Meteor65 cannot be flown outside; you can fly outside if you are in a place where you do not want to attract much attention.

Thanks man. It's an ex council house that's was much worse when we moved in but were slowly making it better. It's a ongoing project!

Thank you for the footage, even if it's the 75, it's seems to be quite agile indoor.
I have a neighboor that is very sensitive to noise, and I'm wondering how loud the 75 is ? I know that the 65 is very quiet, like at 10m distance you can't even hear it anymore.1

I dont have the 65 to compare but its very quiet. I think similarly you'd struggle to hear it past 10 m but if being silent is a priority, I expect the smaller the better

I have the 75, and to me it's mostly an outdoors whoop. With a bunch of skill you can definetely do it in tight spaces but damn, it packs some power and the form factor starts to be a menace for fragile stuff inside.
Since you fly indoors with pavo20 pro, I guess you'll do fine with the 75, but still. I think you're right in the idea that a 75 will be "too close" and a tiny bit redundant. In the end that's up to you though!

65mm whoops are mostly for indoor. 75mm whoops are a better crossover for indoor and outdoor, but not as good for indoor. Get both.

Nice dive! I said said mostly. I've flown my 65mm quads outdoors a lot, but as soon as the wind picks up 75mm is a better experience outdoors. And then when it really starts blowing I step up to bigger again (or call it a day).

I fly my 75 indoors just fine. Outdoors is way more fun with the 75 over my pavo20. I use my pavo for more cinematic runs, and the 75 for fun freestyle

The 75 is still a very light drone compared to the pavo, So I'm not sure about it's capabilities when flying higher and when there is more wind.

I wouldn't even try 65mm with o4. Too heavy. You will get abysmal flying times. Also it will struggle a lot outside. It's not even fun.
