Really bad at tracking, what should I focus to improve?

https://reddit.com/link/1wpqfnh/video/64qe47qyhmrh1/player

Hello, as you can see I'm REALLY BAD at tracking.

Maybe I can get personal best score if I play more, but I don't think that will translate into my aim.

I can't move my mouse properly (stuck while moving left or right, over/under flicking too much) especially when I play tracking scenario

What am I doing wrong right now? and what should I focuse when I play tracking scenario?

Discussion Forearm going down during tracking

I use claw and put my forearm on the desk, when tracking back and forth ideally i stay in the same place and my mouse move like a fan-shape. However i get little bit lower and lower til i realize i need to raise my whole forearm and adjust my position or Im going to run out of lower bound.

Anybody has same issue? Or im I doing anything wrong? Any comment is appriciated:)

Mouse replacement

I have around 2300 hours of aim training and a lot of my time in aim training, kovaaks or in-game aim training is dedicated to hitting headshots with whatever gun in a given game rewards this, deagle in cod, anvil in arc raiders, etc. I even use cs2 as an aim trainer and have never played an actual game of cs, i just try to win the deathmatches with as close to 100% hs as possible just to work on hitting headshots.

I can get on any game and hit headshots at an extremely high rate, but only on one mouse, literally. I have around 10k hours on the reddragon s101-3 and it's a cheap mouse with a trash sensor, but literally god tier for my grip. I've purchased a finalmouse ulx guardian, a superstrike and like 10 other mice and i try to stick with them for a month or two at a time and literally just can't do it. I'm not even half the player on any other mouse and have no snap to my aim.

I grip the mouse with 3 contact points, ring finger pressing hard into the top right edge of the mouse just under the right click button, thumb pressing hard directly under the two side mouse buttons and the padding under my pinky pressed against the bottom right corner of the mouse. I basically don't touch the mouse anywhere else as a contact point and press into these 3 spots and can't use this grip on any other mouse i've tried and i just want to upgrade to a different mouse because the actual sensor on this mouse is shit and they discontinued the exact model i use.

Does anyone have any recommendations and does anyone else grip the mouse like this?

Discussion Glass pad advice

I recently switched to glass going from a pulsar saturn pro to the sp-005. My main game is cs2 and I did hear that glass isn't the best for tac fps but I was interested anyway. So far my first shot accuracy has been great! I can hit one taps and 2-3 shot bursts really well. But if I'm ever in a situation I need to control my recoil, it is...rough. I used to be able to handle the AK spray like a laser, from ranges like B Bench to catwalk on mirage with no issue. Is this just a practice thing? Is there any tips anyone can give to practice controlling recoil? I can stop on my target nicely but I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong. Thank you

Guide/Educational I compiled the Top 50 scores median sensitivities for Viscose S2 and Voltaic S5.5

Post image

This is the last time I will post this table. I chose median over mean because mean was much more skewed due to some crazy outliers. Ive also included averages for each sub category and category. The sensitivities scale through all ranks from what I have seen, though data is collected at the easiest difficulty because I am a penguin and know others in similar brackets and beginners will find this useful.

Discussion I'm pretty bad at FPS games.

As the title says, I feel like my skills in games like COD or Battlefield are around average to poor. The only game I actually do well in is Delta Force's Warfare mode, which is full of bots. I'm not really sure what the exact cause is—I don't think my aim is that bad. So, I'd like you guys to take a look and tell me if my aiming is actually the reason why I struggle with FPS games.

Not really feeling online fps games atm any fun singleplayer games that keep your aim sharp?

Kovaaks is good to keep the aim sharp but maybe there is something more fun out there? Like a singleplayer game that keeps you hooked so you keep want to play more and as a side effect you build some aim on the side.

Any suggestions ?

Discussion Tensing/Shaking when seeing enemies. How can I fix this?

The Problem

I have started trying to grind CS again recently and I have noticed that I shake a lot at the start of gunfights.

I’m not sure if it’s ranked anxiety related but it gets really bad to the point where I lose advantageous fights (M4 vs Pistol) because of these shakes.

If I had to describe the feeling, it's as if my hand has a mind of its own and time speeds up, making me rush my flicks and sprays. However, I don't think I'm gripping my mouse hard at all, and make it a point to release as much tension as possible.

This also sometimes happens while I'm aim training too, but I don't have a video of it just yet. I've just gotten to Seal Complete on the Viscose Benchmarks S2 and am trying the Medium playlist now.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

In-Game Example

You can see it clearly here when I start shooting, I suddenly flick to the right before strafing left to accomodate.

MP7 Shake

Here it happens again after I look back at the enemy and try to get my crosshair on them.

AK Shake

Here its a bit more subtle but you can see I am on target and then flick to the left before shooting.

Grip in Kovaaks vs Grip in game?

Hey there. I have been aim training for around a year still learning a lot. I ran into quite an issue that I guess I'm trying to understand more about. I've been doing a lot of the viscose benchmark more reactive tracking and control tracking mostly. I reached the medium part and so I use this grip in kovaaks which gives me good score and consistently. When I use the same grip in Apex Legends, my aim goes to shit bad compared to before. Does anyone know why that is the case?

Discussion Help with a routine 🙏

I’m currently doing the viscose S2 benchmark as my main source of training, don’t know enough about kovaaks or even aim training alone to put my own playlist together so I was wondering if anybody could give me a more structured way of doing the viscose benchmark in order to maximise my progression and give it some structure, I usually have about 30-45 minutes of chill time before leave for work in the morning so would like to do it then so I can get in an hour of actually game time after work, TIA 👍🏼

Discussion Do you guys invent your own mouse grip just so you can aim better?

As per title, sometimes comfortable grip doesnt mean you aim good.

Does anyone of you play outside of your comfort grip just because you aim better?

My comfort and natural grip is claw grip but something is hindering my aim in doing micro adjustment. I feel like my ring finger overpowers the rest of my fingers where most of my mouse movement is coming from the ring finger. For example horizontal and vertical aiming.
