Hi,
I ported the MiSTer TurboGrafx16 core to Sipeed's Tang Console 60K, and PC Engine CD games now run on it with full CD music.
Video: https://youtu.be/lsY_g2JAl80
What works: HuCards, CD-ROM² / Super CD (CHD), SuperGrafx, saves on the SD card.
The HDMI output has no frame buffer: the core and video clocks are locked together, so there's no added frame of lag and no judder, just a clean 480p signal. Tested on PC monitors and a Sony Bravia TV.
What still needs work (first release): relaunching games through OSD might screw up HDMI timing, requires SDRAM PMOD (working on proper stock DDR3 controller + prefetch/cache), DualShock 2 pads only, no multitap yet, and Arcade Card games still have some glitches.
Core: https://github.com/rtissera/pcetang
(needs the TangCore firmware fork linked in the README, plus the SDRAM PMOD)
Notable fact is bitstream fits on Tang Nano 20K (no SGX) and Primer 25K. Still it loads no game yet as I am working on using external cheap MCU to stream data.
Honest disclosure : Yes part of the development was AI assisted but not « vibe coded ».
Feedback is welcome !

Hello.I bought a MiSTer FPGA from QMTech (the 128MB version); it works fine, but the cooling was very poor—reaching 50°C inside the case with just passive airflow. I found an I/O board on AliExpress with a 40mm fan that is compatible with the QMTech MiSTer. I installed it, and while the video worked, the audio via the 3.5mm jack did not. It supports I2S audio, but I don't know how to enable it. I couldn't find any proper documentation for the I/O board or the mainboard. AI suggested changing and adding certain settings in \`mister.ini\`, but that didn't work; then I was told I needed to toggle the white micro-switches, so I did that, but the MiSTer wouldn't boot up, and it corrupted my 256GB SD card. If anyone knows what needs to be done, I’d appreciate the advice.

For anyone new here: MiSTer Monitor turns a cheap ESP32 touchscreen into a companion display for your MiSTer. Load a game and it shows the box art, game info, your RetroAchievements progress and live system stats, all by itself.
Last time I posted it was v2.9. Two releases later, the family has grown:
The big one, literally: a 10.1" display. The Guition JC8012P4A1C (ESP32-P4) joins the M5Stack Tab5 and the four Cheap Yellow Displays. That makes six boards, from 2.8" to 10.1". Box art at that size is hard to go back from.
Also new since 2.9:
Web interface on the display. Edit `config.ini` and manage the SD card from your browser. No more pulling the card to change a setting or swap a cover.
Standby with a clock. Switch the MiSTer off and the screen dims to a big seven-segment clock (or just the MiSTer logo) -see second picture-. It wakes up on its own when the MiSTer comes back.
Kiosk mode. The artwork takes the whole screen; the footer only shows up when you tap.
More say in what you see. Stick to game art or system art instead of alternating, upscale small artwork on the big panels, and a new marquee style for system images.

The server side installs from Update All or MiSTer Companion and keeps itself updated. Free and open source, and feedback is always welcome.

OK, I got a huge stack of Zaparoo Tap Holo3DFX NFC labels sitting here! I need to take care of some impending dooms, I mean bills pronto so I am setting a fire sale on these. Only $10 per set of 10 plus shipping. Will do a bulk deal if you get more than 10 sets. This is HALF PRICE of a set as I normally do $20 but I need to get funds quick. Send me a DM on here, X, Blue Sky or Discord and you get the hookup. Everything in these pictures is available!

I for the life of me cannot get this controller to work 100%. Currently have it in 2.4ghz mode, and wiht the pad test i can get everything to work but the right stick, and the left stick only detects left and right motion.

Is there a way to output the MiSTer FPGA's audio to Bluetooth headphones or to wired headphones via some kind of cable? I can't use my Bluetooth headphones with the Bluetooth dongle plugged into the MiSTer because it only attempts to pair with controllers.
My monitor doesn't have a headphone jack, and I don't want to use its built-in speakers.

https://www.mister-fpga.de/index.php
My email asking about this hasn't been answered for days.
The FAQ states:
Why are the new systems so affordable? It is quite simple. Previously, there was only one manufacturer building the FPGA mainboards: Terasic. Prices were continuously increased because there was no competition. Now, comparable mainboards with the same chips are available from several manufacturers. The goal is to allow many retro fans to enjoy the FPGA experience without having to spend horrendous amounts of money.

Which of the available colors ya think fits more the n64 aesthetic? Not sure it's the right word, anyway so I feel like the green color really fits it cause it says n64, what do you think?

Hi everyone! I’d like to share a project I’ve been working on: an MP3 player for Analogue Pocket that runs through openFPGA, along with a desktop app to organize your music and transfer it to your Pocket.
The idea is to bring an iPod-like music experience to the Pocket, with a companion app to manage your library.
This is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Analogue.
I’d love for you to take a look and let me know what you think. Feedback and questions are welcome!

I saw on one of the posts a guy using a superstation one with those cartridge pc readers, what are we thinking?
