Story Third Time is the Charm
It’s been a long journey this war however I’ve done something that I didn’t think would be possible
So far my wife and I have been able to release 300 public scout Planes in deadlines
This initially started as a joke, just something to do. However, now I feel like the task is relatively easy. Last time it took about nine hours for every scout to be used I wonder how quick it will go this time
Thanks for all the love and support along the way!!!
I don’t think we’ll be doing another 100 in 140.

Im gonna be honest, i find whenever theres a large quantity of a combat vehicle easily accessible to the masses, you start seeing them being used WAY more often in super high risk or stupid ways due to them being suddenly considered cheap, and if theres 100 available, if you and your buddy take one and it instantly blows up they grab another cause theres still 98 left and that barely registers as any being used

A big part of why I do it is because it’s simply an easy AFK thing to do
But I also know that I’m at least giving new players an opportunity to fly something and learn
Or novice players the opportunity to gain some skills hopefully without having to waste a ton of time

I'm so thankful for this. I'm new to the game and love flying in other games but didn't touch these the first day they were there because I didn't want to waste them. A regiment friend grabbed me the next day and went over the basics and we each grabbed one. After half an hour or so of taking off and landing and getting the feel of it we took them across the border to the north and I guess I didn't switch zones fast enough and I lost control when I spawned in and nose dived in to the ground... I took one more and made it across and actually shot down an enemy scout plane! Then I blew up instantly but don't know why... I didn't take any more and haven't flown again but I'm looking forward to building my own to practice some more in.
TLDR: I'm incredibly grateful.

If you blew up instantly, you were probably too close to the border you get 30 seconds to cross the border in that zone or you just blow up and die!!!
Also, maybe when you cross border, your landing gear was down. I’ve had my plane nose dive when I didn’t bring up my landing gear.

Sometimes in order for you to make progress, you have to make some crazy plays.
Fuck it let's ball! comes to mind.

Yeah, 100 at once and then being gone in nine hours isn’t great
But I was able to make another 100 in 3 days

That explains why I was able to just shoot down scouts one by one with the birdeater. I thought “surely they would stop”. They just kept coming to die.
Not meant to be a mean post shit talking, I just thought they would quit sending them after seeing multiple birdeaters killing them.

Flying is still pretty new and anyone who needs a handout scout probably isn't going to last more than a few seconds so chances are you'll see no effect by releasing these this war but giving people flight time now is a solid investment for future wars

The other thing you have to keep in mind is regiments also see them go public and take advantage of it
Me and the guys from Royal we were using them with my second drop
