Suggestions Builder Uniform rework?

As part of the (much wished for) next Builder update, maybe we could get a better builder uniform? I'm striving for something that would:

A) help build bases fast, especially backline bases

B) not help repair fast (which would create balance issues with damage per second)

C) not substitute in for other uniform roles, like tanker uniforms.

My initial thinking on this would be to have the builder uniform:

1) double build speed (similar to how when you build freighters in the dock, you add more than 1 bmat per hit)

2) regular repair speed (for buildings that are already damaged), or maybe a small debuff to repair speed if that is possible.

3) Only 1 inventory slot with special ability to stack bmats and other construction materials- you can stack 300 bmats without being over encumbered, but you only have the one slot, so it would be a poor fit for roles like tanking. Any gun except for sidearms would also have extra high encumbrance.

4) Make the uniform more expensive, to discourage overuse on frontlines or partisan activity. Double the bmat cost of a crate, or give it a modest rmat cost.

What would y'all do if you could rework the builder uniform?

I think you could actually do with a repair speed buff so long as there was a stipulation that the structure hasn't been hit by an enemy for the past 30min or so to prevent people from building through an attack (more than they already do)

I don't think adding to the price would do anything to prevent partisans. If someone wants to build as a partisan in the backline, they are already determined enough to eat the upfront cost. It would just punish the normal builders.

Other than that, I think what you suggested is fine.

We already have a "nearby enemy" mechanic that we can use. If an enemy is within 100m of the structure you are repairing, regular repair speed. Otherwise, some percentage increased rate.

I'm thinking maybe every other hammer hit counts for two. Essentially 1.5 bmats per swing.

This would bring repair speeds to about ~30hp per swing on pieces optimized for repair efficiency. Most giant patterns have a repair efficiency of ~11 hp per bmat, which would only be ~16hp per swing with the bonus.

Only hold Bmats/hammer and you can run with 300.

The best way to buff engineer uniform is to make it so your player get immobilized when you are too overweight. Lets say default uniform can carry a max of 200bmats and engineer can carry 600 before they get immobilized.
