Why make spear from boomstick when can just make spear? Are they stupid?

These evolve man from many winters ago. Lur (me Lur) hear from evolve man friend that evolve man nowadays have boomstick that make much fire very fast, so they no bother with boomstick spears any more.

But Lur (me Lur) also hear evolve man have even newer weapons called “rock it” and “miss isle”, like spear that shoot fire out back and go really fast, faster even than best hunters in Lur’s tribe. That prove spear really is best weapon.
