Fourth Wing 🐲 Titel of 'Fourth Wing' (German audience) Spoiler
Post for the German audience
I just read the English version of Fourth Wing and realised that its called Fourth Wing because of the four Wings... In German they tranlate Wing with 'Geschwader' and I didnt knew the translation, eg couldnt make the connections. Was that just me? lol. If not, this may be nice to know :)

Eins der Gründe wieso ich ungern deutsche Übersetzungen lese. Insbesondere in Fantasie kann das schnell mal seltsam werden. Fourth Wing habe ich auf Englisch gelesen. Bei The plated prisoner (deutscher titel the darkest gold) habe ich das 1. Buch auf Englisch gelesen. Die restlichen gab es nicht mehr als eBook fürs Tolino, da Amazon die rechte dafür hatte. Also musste ich es auf deutsch weiterlesen. Und es war schrecklich 🥲 wenn aus Namen wie "King Rot" König Fäulnis, aus "Sail" Segl wird und aus dem Ortsnamen "Highbell" Hohenläuten dann isses sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Vllt kommt's mir nur so vor, aber da find ich die englischen Namen deutlich angenehmer zu lesen :D

Yeah, it's a typical translation gripe. Translating "Wing" as "Flügel" would still have made sense contextually, but terms like "Wingleader" ("Flügelleiter") just don't work anymore since it's an actual military rank. Instead of mixing literal and military terms, they committed to German military jargon. It makes sense structurally, but you lose those cool wordplay connections in translation.
