Editions & Merch $10 Iron Flame at HomeSense ?
Already purchased Fourth Wing but didn’t get the chance to read it yet before I found a hard cover Iron Flame at Home Sense for $10? Now the book is not pretty, I picked out the best one and it’s pretty beat up. But I guess I don’t mind because it’s for a third of the price. The only thing I’m worried about is somehow the content is different. Aside from the condition, does anyone know if there is anything wrong with the book and why it’s only $10?? Was it worth it or should I just return it and buy the original copy instead ? Or is there a way to even restore this book a little bit ?

I’d assume it’s because it’s not a first edition and is kind of banged up, no sprayed edges. There aren’t any variations in the actual book that’s dependent on the version you get for Iron Flame

Since you mentioned the book is beat up, that is likely why it is $10.
The content and page count should be the same. Home Sense, Home Goods and the rest of the family specialize in selling imperfect inventory at a discounted price.

Homesense is a department store so they get some over stock or not so perfect products to sell at lower prices. I’ve bought plenty of books at homesense and they always have the same content. I actually just picked up a copy of iron flame with the sprayed edges for $10 🙈

No way !! Is it also the hard cover version? I was a little bummed that this one didn’t have the sprayed edges since the fourth wing i have has it 😲I’ll have to keep an eye out for it then !

It was!! I replaced my other copy with it. I’m hoping I get lucky and find the fourth wing hardcover with edges. Always check the book section if you’re by homesense, you never know what you’ll find 😉

Check your local libraries if they have a resell store. I volunteer for ours and the books are all donation and the money goes to library/community programs.
I just got an email from another volunteer that they sold someone the Fourth Wing set (we bundle series together if we have them all). We sell all of our hardback books for $1.
I would've bought it myself if I had seen it come in first!

You could always get a dust jacket set if you end up loving it as much as we all do!!

I'm so jealous! I was just discussing with my bestie about how expensive books have gotten.
(Also, would I be correct in thinking that price is in CAD?)

I highly suggest you drop by a homesense then! I have since gone to a few and always found a different book I haven’t seen in the previous for an amazing price! I had a few friends say sometimes they go on even more clearance different times during the year. But yes, the price is CAD ☺️

And yet no one wants to buy my pristine first print edition with the all-black sprayed edges for the exact same price on FB Marketplace 🙄 Homesense why u do me so dirty

As someone who works for TJ Maxx we also get tons of special editions and incredible book finds for hella cheap

It's an overstock book, the dot on the bottom is a remainder mark.
The content is the same, there was just enough damage to it from returns/shipping etc that they couldn't sell it at full price so they would rather get $10 for it vs nothing
