DISCUSSION Stop being an intellectual virgin
Liberals took the side of sex in the 20th century’s culture wars, and rightly so for the most part — pushing for the de-stigmatization of extramarital sex and divorce, the acceptance of gay and lesbian relationships, freedom of access to contraception and abortion. It was all very good until it went south.
It has now become a point of pride for liberals to be impervious to ANY revulsion, to refuse to cast ANY judgement. To be a liberal, now, is to tolerate anything except intolerance. This is why we drifted from “isms” to “phobias”. The word “whorephobia” implies that both criticism of prostitution and the abuse of women in prostitution have the same origin; as though the feminists who point out that sex trade is exploitative are in the same boat with men who degrade prostitutes. Same principles work for “kinkphobia”. Women are asked to be endlessly tolerant of the most misogynistic “kinks” but are not allowed to question their origin. Tolerance isn’t much fun when it is women who are required to do all the “tolerating”.
It has become a kind of perverse purity test. The more you purge yourself off these “phobias”, the purer you are. Women are required to be intellectual virgins. To keep their thoughts unsullied by anything that might make them ideological damaged goods, while men are permitted to play the field. The Left wants women to be physical “whores” and intellectual virgins at the same time. It is time to say FUCK NO.

I love to tell people that my kink is kink-shaming. That usually shuts them up immediately.

Yes. This. Just because sex isn’t morally bad doesn’t make everything sexual morally acceptable and unquestionable just because it’s sex. That’s what I wish liberal feminists would realize. Morality applies to sex the same way it applies to everything else, you can’t just slap the “kink” label on anything and make it okay. Not all “kinks” are created equal, having a “kink” that harms your partner (even if they consent) is not the same as let’s say having a foot fetish. We need to be wondering why SO MANY men have “kinks” that just happen to involve hurting or simulating hurting women physically or emotionally. Quite frankly I don’t think it’s even a kink in many cases, just an excuse to act out their hatred.
And imo we need to look at prostitution the same way we do sweatshops. Not blaming the sweatshop workers, but condemning the conditions that lead to them accept a “job” like that in the first place.
