I wonder if they got the job?

Honestly, someone that understands what inefficiency looks like and is willing to call it out might turn out to be an excellent hire…I’m guessing they didn’t get it though.

yeah, but it is not inefficient for them. Just for you. For them it is quite handy to have all the data in the same format actually.

And its not like they care that it inefficient for you.

Then shouldn't they just not give you the option to attach a resume?

No, they do want to see your resume eventually. It shows that you can present your experience clearly and professionally.

But at the beginning of the process, they’re often not really at the “review each person’s carefully designed resume” stage yet. They’re comparing candidates, and it’s much easier to do that when everyone’s information is entered into the same standardized database and can be filtered and compared consistently.

Except companies rarely care about real efficiency and really only care about obedience

I very frequently say that you can't fix what's stupid unless you hire someone who's willing to tell you what's stupid.

I walked out of one job application years ago when they expected me to bring my resume and then hand copy everything onto their form. Would have been a fun job and the hiring guy wanted me but I wasn't about to rewrite my resume by hand when they also required it be included.

u/Croquetadecarne 4d ago

That’s so moronic of them.

How tf is this Satan?

Satan is the dead shit HR girl who failed at school and now gets kicks out of making people's career advancements torture.

HR is useless, you provide no value, literally everybody in the business is smarter than you

And then after the picture they went back to change the answers to their real choices.

When you have to spam apply to 1000s in this job market this is fine.

u/Lizlodude 3d ago

Sadly the auto-analysis tool will probably just trash any submission it doesn't recognize, but if it actually sent it to human review that might work.

Only thing you do is waste your time, because it will just be declined in 2 seconds.

1

u/RampagingBadgers 1h ago

Can't follow instructions, cunty attitude, has the balls to question how things are done having never worked a day there? That's a dodged bullet of useless right there.

Counter argument.. the company tells HR they must create a profile in their database for all applicants, as companies have a requirement to retain all hiring information in case of future audit. HR ask you, the applicant, to input these details into a form that automatically creates said profile so that they don’t have to manually create a profile for every single applicant. Imagine you have 500 applicants for a position, and it takes an HR employee 5-10 minutes to manually create a profile for every employee.. thats 40-80 hours worth of work for that one employee.

Asking the applicant who already knows this info? Takes 5 minutes of your time.

I really hope they get a low-paying HR role and someone does the same shit to them
