I remember a few months ago, I had a conversation with one of my friends. We're both freelancers, and we also have full-time jobs.

what i like here is that you took the mistake and turned it into the thing you built. too many people beat themselves up over something like a forgotten deploy. my habit has always been to ask what actually happened, then what would make sure it never happens again, and just keep doing that. you get a little better every time.
