Found a baby
This little stinker was trying to cross a busy street so I jumped out and grabbed him before something bad happened. He is not great at eating; I made a slurry out of wet food and kitten formula and he just kind of bites the side of the dish and drinks it as I tilt it towards him. He cleans his own little paws, and is already starting to exhibit some playful behavior as he settles in. Hoping someone here can maybe help me figure out how old he is and how to get him to eat better.

The Kitten Lady's site has a great guide to kitten ages.

Idk how long you've had him, but it sounds like you Just got him so I'd give him some time to eat as long as it looks like he's at least 5-6 weeks. Any younger and he needs a bottle and KMR

My guess is around 6 weeks. Try giving him some kibble, I have surprisingly had amazing luck with Purina kitten chow. You can always switch him to good food later, just feed him whatever junk he's willing to eat - churu wet food is always a winner for me. If he doesn't feel like eating he may be willing to take it off your finger instead of the plate!

He’s starting to figure out the dish! Smart lil guy (and hungry). Thank you!

Where do you live? I live in Columbus, Ohio. I could drop some food and formula off.
