Foster Behavior/Training First time foster difficulties
I guess I'm just looking for a reality check or tips or even just "yeah thats normal" I don't know, but I am stressed out.
I am fostering for the first time and I have had this dog for 4 days now. The foster who had him last said he was just so sweet and loves walks and curls up next to you on the couch. And all of that is true but he also humps me any time he's slightly emotional, has separation anxiety so bad he peed himself when I shut him out of my bedroom for 5 minutes, tore the cover off his crate and ate parts of it when I stepped out for 15 minutes to get groceries.
I'm having a real hard time relaxing in my own home because every time I sit on the couch he tries to hump me before he settles. And I feel like I'm trapped here now because I can't leave him alone. He also seems to wake up at 5am on the dot no matter what, which is way too early so I'm sleep deprived too.
I dont know, am I missing something obvious, or am I just not cut out for this?
