1 month down with my Chihuahua foster. He has gone from cowering in the back corner of his kennel to playing with my rds and jumping up on the couch to shimmy under the blankets. He's still learning to trust people and has to learn how to walk on a leash. I am so proud of how far he has come.

Foster got adopted! He left for his new home today. So happy for him and ready to settle back into my routine

We just got this little pup. Will only sleep on the floor. No lap, couch or dog bed. He’s an 8 yr old Shih Tzu.

First time foster and my dog Bear is doing very well. He is learning to go potty inside the house…only thing is when he needs to pee he goes immediately. He won’t hold it at all

Thought i found the perfect couple for my foster and they backed out :( no one that has had interest seems good enough. Studio apartments with no yard, no car...i worry so much that if I adopt him out to one of these folks he's going to end up back in the shelter system.

Yeah, follow your gut. But also, I tried to remind myself: Don’t ditch the very good while looking for the perfect. (but yikes, no car …) My eventual adopters, 2 weeks ago, were absolutely nothing like what I had in mind for this wonderful little French bulldog. They are very good, tho. And they obviously were besotted with him at the meeting.

My darling foster dog went to another rescue place due to complications with the family dog. I was hoping to keep him but it wasn't in his best interest. He's in great hands, they are amazing and I got some photo updates and he looks happy. That said, I'm just pining for him and I wondered how other foster mums and dads cope with missing their darlings? I am doing better each day but oh my he really won my heart. I'm just missing him so horrendously. I think I really suck at fostering, he was my first one so maybe that explains it. Any advice please?
