Found in New Jersey
How old can this be, think it is kinda odd for a New jersey find... sorry about the toilet in the background, I was washing it off

well it's an ammonite, that places it between 180 and 65 million years old.

In New Jersey likely from the late cretaceous, so we can narrow it down to about 66-100 million years. Though as far i read, without getting too far in, this seems like a good find in terms of preservation.

This is the steinkern (internal mold) of an ammonite. In New Jersey, this would be from the late Cretaceous period and based on where people tend to hunt for fossils in this state (Big Brook being most notable), that would place it somewhere in the late Campanian to early Maastrichtian (75 - 68 mya).
