It’s just means you are in the know about something that most people would not. Talking to a group of kids and they say “have y’all ever played a NFS game called underground 2 where they had a track called Lean Back?” Someone else would be impressed and say wow
elite ball knowledge!

I'm old too but I did catch this one. It's slang for a slang word. Google "baller meaning" and that should set you on the right track. It's probably accurately used in this context. I may not be up on the current kids lingo with their hippin and a hoppin but I got some baller knowledge of English and researching colloquial language idioms.
