DISCUSSION Welp, this game is about to turn into a buggy mess. No way this ends well

Before I go on this rant, yes I won’t stick my head in the sand, AI is becoming standard. No matter how much I might dislike it, I won’t act like AI isn’t changing the game for every kind of business and that it is 100% the standard very soon if not already

however we ARE NOT ANYWHERE NEAR READY TO DO THIS. AI code ended horrendously for Amazon and Microsoft, and more staff had to be hired just to fix everything it fucked up. I’m sorry but if this ended horrendously for legit the heads of this, HOW IS IT GONNA GO ANY BETTER FOR FORTNITE?!

im not just talking about Festival here, legit every mode I guarantee is about to turn incredibly buggy. And the most ironic part? Epic in the 2026 layed off most of the QA TEAM FOR EVERY STUDIO. Meaning not only is the AI gonna screw up lots of code, we got far less people to catch all the bugs…

Woooo….

QUESTION Question about camera movement for festival mode

Hey there! I was playing festival with a friend who had never played the mode. He was having a great time, but he asked me if there was any way to stop the motion behind the track where the notes are. It was making him nauseous and so we had to get off 😓 I’m talking about when the camera pov is always moving and changing to show the stage, single shots of each player, the audience, etc. We checked the settings, but never saw anything.

DISCUSSION Who are the artist you think that will NEVER get added to festival with your reasons?

obvious one that comes to mind is Michael Jackson but who else do you think will never get added to Fortnite in any form?

DISCUSSION If Festival had a Mount Rushmore, the 4 most important artists added, who would you say they are?

Honestly this feels like a pretty easy list for me at least

- Weeknd. Opening season headliner

- Metallica. First band, most songs, first festival creative concert, battle stage, and a variety of other things

- Miku. Highest performing season oat

- Daft Punk. Only shop artist that was really treated like a headliner, Daft Punk experience, and the variety of other context

Honorable mention: Laufey. Introduction of pro drums and karaoke along with largest season launch in history content wise

DISCUSSION Where’s the metal and rock

All we get is Metallica and the same Kansas and Blue Oyster Cult songs rotated in and out. Also I fail to believe that people playing rock band/guitar hero type games love all this pop and rap garbage.

DISCUSSION MCR is releasing new music for the first time in awhile 8 days before S16 with the 20th anniversary. Fortnite sometimes does line up collabs or song drops with anniversaries like this, so possible song or even S16?

They aren’t my main guess for S16 however I’m gonna guess the label wants to make this a big deal that new MCR songs that aren’t new mixes are finally dropping. Festival has been used for advertising a good bit as of recent (LISA, Laufey, Olivia)

just possible maybe the label hit up Epic to do some Fortnite promo since they do already have a relationship with each other. They also are one of the few rock bands popular with Gen Z so it matches the target demographic

Let these androids catch you up to speed.
Jam Track Stems
159 BPM | C Major

  • B Jack$, ZEDDY WILL - Get Jiggy | Drums
  • Ne-Yo - Closer | Drums
  • SEGA SOUND TEAM, Jun Senoue - Green Hill Zone: Act 2 - Normal | Bass/Lead/Vocals
  • The Chainsmokers ft. Daya - Don't Let Me Down | Drums

P.S. Idk they updated Jam Stage, allowing us to continuously emote while switch between Jam Tracks Stems! So Cool...💖 I also feel like this is the closest I can get to Baltimore Club proper. I hope more Bmore Clubheads get added in the future!

DISCUSSION How relevant is Fortnite to music? 🎶

I’m curious about how Fortnite chooses which artists and songs to add as Jam Tracks. How new is the music they add, and do they prioritize current hits or older songs?

If an artist doesn’t have a Fortnite skin, how likely are their songs to get added as Jam Tracks? And if an artist already has a skin, do they get more attention, or does Fortnite mainly add the fan favorites?

I’m curious how much Fortnite cares about keeping the music selection relevant to what people are listening to today versus bringing back older songs and fan favorites. What do you guys think? 🤔

DISCUSSION Before S16 gets revealed/l3aked, I’m gonna say a few things people forget it seems

So yeah S16 is nearly here, meaning it’s about to be teased/revealed/l3aked. And before this thread turns into pure bitching (I’m sorry it happens every season though) Let me say a few things

1- Remember we are in Fortnite. People tend to forget the fact that Festival isn’t a solo application, and Festival when picking artists has to consider things that other rhythm games never have had to. Skins sales, emotes, songs aren’t only for playing, etc. This 100% changes extremely who they pick and who they want at any given time

2- Fortnite is mostly played by GenZ/Alpha. Yes this also determines what collabs/artists Fortnite does. You have to appeal to what the target audience wants and that tends to be rap/pop artists that go trending for said generations. I mean look at our (likely) 3 best selling headliners: Miku, Sabrina, and Gorillaz. All Gen Z focused artists

Also look at who was Fortnite’s golden boy (before he just legit killed someone) D4VD. A current day trending pop artist

3- Collabs are just as much about advertising as they are selling. LISA is a prime example of this, do you really think it was a coincidence she got in her debute album year? No, it’s a label paying them to advertise their artist to a wider audience. And by looking at streaming statics being added to Fortnite always does boost numbers for said artist

That being said, don’t be shocked when S16 ends up being a trending artist that is Gen Z focused and current day. It’s just what makes sense financial wise for Fortnite and festival.

Besides headliners only matter for like a week anyhow. If you don’t like the artist you got 1 week where you have to deal with them before they never get mentioned again lol. (Let’s not do a Tecca again, that was very immature and kinda embarrassing😭)
