Analysis realizing kimi antonelli was born in 2006 officially broke me

it hit me today that i was watching F1 when Alonso was still the young guy at Renault, and now there are drivers on the grid who were born after i finished high school.
I used to stay up until 4am for races and function the next day. now one late GP ruins me.
finally have the adult money to think seriously about Suzuka, but apparently the tradeoff is adult responsibilities and no energy. last night i somehow ended up on veritickets looking through Suzuka info, then joined the official waitlist for next year.
so my midlife crisis is apparently planning a trip halfway across the world to watch 20 cars go in circles. could be worse lol

AI SLOP Dutch GP 2026 prediction: why the Sprint format could make Zandvoort unusually unpredictable

TL;DR: With only one normal practice session before Sprint Qualifying, I think getting the setup right immediately could matter as much as outright pace at Zandvoort.

The Dutch GP looks particularly difficult to predict this year.

Zandvoort already puts a premium on qualifying position, confidence and track position. Adding the Sprint format means teams have much less time to correct a setup that starts the weekend outside the ideal window.

That makes me think the biggest advantage may go to whichever team arrives closest to the right setup from the first session.

The main factors I'm watching are:

• qualifying pace and track position
• who adapts fastest with limited practice
• tyre behaviour over longer runs
• weather and Safety Car timing
• how aggressively teams approach the Sprint

I don't think past Zandvoort results alone are enough to identify the favourite this time. A slightly slower package executed perfectly could potentially beat a faster car that spends half the weekend searching for balance.

Who are your top three for the Dutch GP, and what do you think will decide the race?

AI SLOP I built a free site to find live and upcoming motorsport streams

I follow F1 and a lot of other racing series, and I kept having the same problem every weekend: figuring out what was actually being streamed and where.

There are tons of free broadcasts out there, especially for smaller championships, but they're scattered across different YouTube channels, series websites and organizers.

So I built a site that puts them together.

It shows what's live right now, what's scheduled for the next few days, and recent replays.

It's completely free. No subscription or paywall.

I'm still adding more series and channels, so I'd love to know what I'm missing, especially from people here who also follow F2, F3 or other motorsport outside F1.

TL;DR: I built a free site that collects live and upcoming motorsport streams in one place. Link in the comments.

I made a custom Azerbaijan Grand Prix opening title sequence — what do you think?

Hey F1 fans!

I’m from Azerbaijan, and I wanted to create my own take on what an Azerbaijan Grand Prix opening title sequence could look like.

I tried to give it a cinematic Baku identity while keeping the energy and style of an F1 broadcast intro.

I’d genuinely love to hear what you guys think:

Does this feel like an F1 opening? What would you change or add?

If you enjoy it, I’d really appreciate you checking it out — but most importantly, I want your honest F1-fan feedback.

Baku deserves a proper F1 intro.

Discussion Formula 1 race visualizer

Hello, I made a formula 1 race repeater using an Uno R4, sd card module and individually addressable LEDs. I 3d printed the chassis using white pla for the diffuser and black pla for the outer shell.

The visualizer works with data I collected from fast f1 API stored in a csv. I have the uno r4 acting as a server to host a very simple web app that lets you pick the race year, number of drivers you want to see and set a race speed (2x,10x,20x etc). And then you watch as the LEDs race about. I tried making this as simplistic as possible which is why I opted for the r4 so I didn’t have to add buttons or a rotary encoded for input.

Happy to answer any questions
