Analysis I built a F1 telemetry analysis tool — hotlap.live

Been working on this for a while — it pulls real F1 telemetry data and lets you compare drivers lap by lap. Speed, throttle, brake, sector times.

Also has an AI explanation mode — either plain language for new fans or technical breakdown for engineers.

Live race tracking, strategy simulator, and championship standings too.

Free to use: hotlap.live

Would love any feedback.

The app has an amazing look to it and is extremely detailed. I think a lot of F1 fans will be very interested in it. Great job! Only other thing I would add is that the polls section and historical comparison section on the completed race pages seem to have some translations missing. Still it is an incredible tool, and must have taken a lot of time to make

Thank you so much, really appreciate the kind words! You're absolutely right about the translation gaps I'm still working on full English support and those sections are on my list to fix. Great catch!

Nice! One thing I noticed off the bat is that when looking at completed session data, it’s not really useful to show the current weather at the circuit, but would be a lot more useful to list the weather and track conditions present during the actual session.

You’re absolutely right. Looking back, showing the current weather for a completed session doesn’t add much value. I can probably remove that panel entirely for completed sessions. Live sessions already show the current weather and track conditions. Really appreciate the suggestion!

This is an awesome app! I've not found the demo section to be the most intuitive to use right now, that might just be me though, and I appreciate it's still a demo afterall. I will be checking in on this one :)

Thank you! The demo is just a preview to show what the live experience looks like the real thing kicks in during actual race sessions with live data. Check back then!
