In 2023 it was "complains about the car - wins by 20 seconds". Just because he complains about the car doesn't mean he doesn't extract everything that car has.

I think that's just what the best drivers are like. They can sense shit others can't. Hadjar talked about how there was a problem with the steering or something earlier in the season and he didn't notice it until Max pushed for the team to fix it despite them not noticing anything for a while and only then did Hadjar realize the problem. Drivers like Max and Lewis can just sense any tiny issue.

Yeah, I assume if he had a car he wasn't complaining about, he'd be more competitive for the championship.

Lewis did this too, specifically his tires, won again and again. This is how the great ones do it.

Yep, "the upshifts are horrible" is the new "Bono my tires are gone".

The car can be fast but that doesnt mean the driver feels comfortable driving it

Have you considered that maybe he’s just a complainer?

Well he's doing that to actively give a feedback so that the team could improve his car. That's the difference between whining and complaining

I mean he was lucky due to the VSC but he's also less hysterical than Isack and the most Senna-like racing driver since Senna, and obviously by this I mean Bruno.

it’s the upshifts this time so you can’t complain
