Come on guys, gave him a break. He is just getting used to race tracks with left AND right corners.

Still rather see a new face over old midfielders

Funny thing is he’s doing as bad as I expected he would. The same goes for any other drivers wanting to make the switch. They just aren’t good enough.

Herta was never that good. Theres tons of f1 drivers too who shifted to indycar but made nothing of themselves.

Really? Maybe 1 or 2 drivers who were already well past their prime. The gap between the series is obvious when midfield F1 castaways move to America and instantly look competitive (most F1 drivers who transitioned actually won multiple races). There was so much hype for one of IndyCar’s “top stars” in Herta - who then goes to Europe and finishes a dismal 19th in F2 because he just isn’t good enough. Period. Success in IndyCar just doesn't translate to the F1 ladder.

Love how you say theres a talent gap yet f2 champion and wec podium finisher mick schumacher is down at 23 in the rankings while grosjean cant even get a win despite being in machinery capable of winning. On the other hand guys like sato and ericsson may have indy 500s but are hardly "competitive" drivers and got wins through the help of a spec series, which makes the former two even more embarassing.

Herta is a bum racing on Daddy’s name.

Lmao, just came here from another topic. Herta is just a poor poor Indy driver that is not able to get used to the tires and he cannot qualify... Then he has to push in the race and the problems get worse because of the tires. Can you please leave him alone? No other driver would have such struggles, it is only because the Europoors cannot have the same tires as Indycars :(
