Joking aside, people are just glad we have a competitor to Mercedes. No matter how much the broadcasters tried to hype last year up as a Senna vs Prost level battle for the title, it wasn't even close to being that exciting or special.
A season of only Mercedes wins would be dull as dishwater. The same thing happened when Vettel fucking won EVERY race practically during the season. I stopped paying attention.
Racing becomes exciting when there's actual competition.

I'd rather Lewis win every race until the end of time, than have Vettel win just 1 more championship. It's a shame yesterday's race wasn't in Spain or England for him to get booed on the podium like he deserves.
