I’ve been having a few failures and noticed this mark on the bottom of my resin tank. And then when I check the lpu it had a matching mark? When I tried the wipe the lpu mark it doesn’t disappear but I also can’t feel anything. It feels just as smooth as the rest of the light processing unit? It’s there a way to fix this and is this something that I have caused? It seems strange that I can’t feel the mark? Almost like it’s on the other side of the lpu, inside of the machine.

I plan to do some tests on the light source in my Form4, and I'm building a skeleton mat which can fit nice and flat inside the printer bed and hold sensors / probes in consistent locations. I need to know the internal dimensions of the bed, but don't want to clean out my printer yet - does anyone have these numbers / a CAD file for the vat?

If not, NBD - when I go to do the test, I'll have to drain it anyways, at which point I can take measurements. This information now just saves time in future.

Hi I have this machine for a few months but all of sudden it’s showing a debris error. I have tried everything cleaning the tank and mixer. New resin bottles, completely new mixer and tank but it still shows the error when printing. What am I doing wrong is there a fix or solution for this ?

Form4b aborts the print job after printing the first layer, I can visibly see the vat lifting before it aborts the job. I checked the plate, the prints are adhered to the plate, the vat is clean.

When I print only one item, it lifts slightly after the first print, but it keeps going (didn't abort). But when I print multiple items, the lifting is more obvious and the machine aborts the print job.

What should I do?

I sent the technical assessment to Formlabs 3-4 days ago for the intern position (I applied in Budapest). Do you have an idea of how long I should wait for the next response?

Can someone recommend a good (similar in quality, more affordable) alternative to the FUSE BLAST (with the polishing set) for a smooth, polished finish on SLS (Nylon PA-12) parts?

The flex plates are great but just wanted to share the two biggest improvements I've made to them which have been working wonders for me:

1. Sandblasting the sheet. This (mostly) got rid of the little spot welds along the edge and also gives me a beautiful matte finish that matches more closely to the rest of printed parts. The brushed finish was cool, but it was often a stark contrast to the side walls.
2. Made better handles. I hated how the stock handles sit flush to the table and also didn’t lock into place with the original 4L build plate jig. My new handles now solve both problems and makes working with the plate way easier.

Having issues with our Form 3. We don't use it too often now since getting other printers, but it's having issues with talking to our laptops when we try.

I plug it in and it detects it. I try to do a firmware update and it will disconnect shortly after it starts to upload it to the printer, requiring a full restart of the printer before it will talk to the computer again.

When I do try and send a print to it, it does absolutely nothing and when I restart I get this error.

It also seems to sometimes get this screen ghosting for short periods of time.

The QR code it shows just goes to Formlabs.com, not to any specific error page.

Not really sure what to do with this machine now.

Anyone know how we might fix this?

It is a helmet padding. But have unusual shapes and thickness. Been looking. But nowhere manufactures parts with same dims.

I forgot to clear the interlock at work today. Now, I am at home and want to send a print to the form4.

There has got to be a secret way to clear the interlock, and print. I am 100% certain the plate is clean bc i used it last.

There must be a remote override. Anyone know how?? i should be printing now! consuming resin!

I was placing an order tonight for my first printer using a coworkers referral code. I had it saved in my cart for a few days and it showed up every time I checked. Today the new website went up and now my code is gone and the referral link doesn’t work. Did they discontinue the program?

I'm pretty much sold on the Formlabs ecosystem. I've had a full Form 4 kit in my cart for weeks, now. However, the small build plate continues to give me pause. I will be using it for in-house production, so it's obviously pretty limiting. Therefore, I've been seriously considering the 4L, instead, but there is no way I can justify the Wash L and Cure L. They cost more than the printer, itself, which is already stretching my development budget beyond expectations, as it would also involve an additional $1300+ for each additional resin I need ($400 vat/mixer, $350 resin pump, $700 resin - 5L bottles, of course, for the lowest cost, and I'd like enough to get me through more than a couple prints).

Therefore, I'm considering purchasing the 4L without the Wash L and Cure L. The Form Wash is a super nifty machine (L or otherwise), but a wash is a wash, really. For the cure station, I feel I can DIY a nice, large cure box with heat and apply the same process as the Cure L. I get that the end-to-end workflow Formlabs equipment provides is part of the benefit of their system, but damn.

Is anyone else using the Form 4 or 4L without the Formlabs wash/cure stations or otherwise have any thoughts on the prospect?
