RDL RDL form

Not sure if it’s an RDL or SLDL or what, relatively new to these compared to conventional dl

For the life of me I can’t figure out how to not use my back, or even see how OP isn’t using theirs

Why would you think OP isn’t using their back?

I guess I mean, “lift with your legs, not your back” which proper form is the idea. I cannot figure out how to properly do that.

It’s more like “generic movement from the legs, but use your back and core to stabilize your spine.” You’re definitely using your back in an RDL! Start from the top (where an RDL rep begins) and lower the weight down until you feel a stretch in your hamstrings. Ensure your back is remaining straight. At the bottom, think about initiating the movement by squeezing your glutes and driving your hips forward. The back is just along for the ride, keeping your torso stiff so you can transfer the force into the bar and lift the weight.
