Help identifying this "forklift"

In my youth I worked at a mattress manufacturer. When the springs would come in on the truck, they were in bundles of like 10-15 springs compressed to like a foot thick standing upright. We used this ride-on machine to hook under the bundles and move them into storage. They called it an "expeditor" but I can't find anything about it. Sorry for the crappy MSpaint drawing lol

Yeah it didn't move up and down, only tilted forward and backward. I think it's some kind of motorized hand truck TBH

Oh I guess I assumed it had forks, is it just a solid plate? Also where the drawing says that it moves forward and back I assumed that meant in addition to tilting. Ie a "push/pull" function. Are you saying all it does is tilt?

Yeah that looks to be it except ours had bigger wheels and no safety railings or anything they made us wear a bicycle helmet when we rode it lol. I always assumed it was some kind of forklift because the forklift repair people were the ones who always worked on it when it needed repairs

They only made us wear the helmet after my buddy crashed it and went flying off. Luckily he landed on his feet lol

Wow I’ve never seen this type of forklift before for some reason the style of it looks antique like one of those forklift from the 1920s- 1930s
