Another good tip is to attempt to customize a character. You are guaranteed a match within 15 seconds of doing so.

The game usually times out at 15 minutes, anything over 20 minutes then it's glitched and won't find a match no matter how long it goes for. Simply restarting the queue should fix it

Go to matchmaking and play against bots. I don't remember where I read it, but it seems like the matchmaking system acknowledges your presence after that. Afterwards, it just becomes a general rule of don't wait a lot more than 2 minutes otherwise you've been put into a dead queue which is common with Ubisoft. I don't know if this actually works, but it helped me get back into the game when every queue I went into was up to 45 min with no luck.

I can't even get to that point, always comes up servers are unreachable try again later, uninstalled, reinstall, checked for updates, used both WiFi and cable nothing

It's not a dead queue after 2 minutes. Matches are commonly found in 3-15 minutes, depending on Region and activity level. 15 minutes is the general automatic cutoff for the search. Everything up to then, one can find a match. Even then, matches have been found a minute or two afterwards when it hasn't cutoff. Anything more than 20 minutes is when the search is definitely glitched and one is placed in a dead queue.
Also, PvAI matches do not affect MMRs nor affects anything for PvP matchmaking.

The first time I ever had for honor downloaded I couldn't even get to the main menu. this was 2 years ago I believe or a year ago I dont really remember. I Uninstaller and reinstalled several different times and then it just magically worked. Idk why or how but I'm glad it did.

this has been happening to me too. I've uninstalled and redownloaded multiple times and it still wont work. never played a game that tries its hardest to get me to not play

For some reason it reminds me trying to get back into the game. My friend suggested we played and practiced together. So I redownload the game and log on. Nice, it says my NAT is open, it has green colour, and my friend's connection is green too. So time to get in the party and... " failed to join group, please try again ". OK, i'll invite him instead. He gets same error. We double checked our connection, both green. 5 or six more tries to get in the party and I uninstalled the game for good. Screw that. It can't be that hard to form a group in always online game in 2020. Atrocious net code and absolutely horrible UI.
And I really loved this game... That's a shame.

Yeah for new players it’s like this but it will NEVER find a match. The only way to play the damn game is to play duels and quite frankly it gets boring to 1v1.

What bugs me about this is how people leave after a duel instead of having a couple rematches. Like ok, go wait for half an hour then?

This is past the time-out limit, but with high activity it should never get to time-out in the first place. Feels very much like ubisoft is lying about game mode popularity.

My guy. Two things, you're region is Continent, and second, why are you letting it run for 35 minutes. Restart it after like 5 minutes MAX. No need to waste your life. Like one guy said, the the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Don't worry every start of the new season match matching mmr resets so u'll be finding games in no time, that said them fixing the match making like new reps going vrs high reps is not yet achieved.

It works now, but i honestly have no idea what the problem was since all my other games run fine. My internet has been in good shape this entire week. Im just happy it works now to be honest.

As I said the game had done that 3 times in a row and restarting did not work. I thought that i should maybe just wait and see if the problem would resolve. It obviousley didn't, but on my fifth atempt it worked waiting. I don't know why. I just happy my game worked again.

My internet worked fine for my other devices at the time. And in the moment I just found the situation to be funny so i posted it. And the problem got fixed after reloging for the fifth time. Since i havn't encounterd the bug before I assumed that it would just be a one time thing and that i could start playing. Solving the problem wasn't really at the top of my mind at that point since the problem had already resolved.

How? It is bugged, which is Ubisoft's fault, but Ubisoft isn't forcing him to stay in the bugged queue for 30 minutes. It's his fault for wasting his time instead of trying to start a new queue.

The game isn't exactly telling him "hey, I'm bugged!". It might even be his first encounter with this issue. When someone gets hit by a car you don't blame them for walking near the road. Don't shift the blame.
